A Secretaria Municipal de Saúde é órgão da Administração Municipal responsável pela formulação e operacionalização das políticas públicas na área de saúde do município. Atua em consonância com os princípios do Sistema Único de Saúde, garantindo a universalidade, a equidade e a integralidade das ações de saúde.

São atribuições do Secretário Municipal de Saúde comandar e supervisionar a execução das atribuições de que trata o artigo anterior, bem como assistir e assessorar o Prefeito Municipal na formulação de políticas, programas, planos, projetos, diretrizes e metas referentes aos serviços prestados na área de saúde, bem como coordenar e supervisionar todas as atividades previstas no campo da atuação da Secretaria Municipal de Saúde, conforme disposto nesta Lei Complementar.

O Gabinete da Secretaria Municipal de Saúde é unidade da Administração Municipal vinculada à Secretaria Municipal de Saúde responsável por assessorar o Secretário em suas atividades políticas e administrativas à frente da Secretaria, coordenando as relações do Chefe da Pasta com outros órgãos da administração municipal, o legislativo municipal, as instâncias de governo regional, estadual e federal, as lideranças políticas e a sociedade civil.

Assessoria de Planejamento e Elaboração de Projetos de Saúde

A Assessoria Planejamento e Elaboração de Projetos de Saúde é unidade vinculada à Secretaria Municipal de Saúde responsável pela análise, sistematização e disponibilização das informações que orientam as ações da Secretaria na elaboração e construção da Política Municipal de Saúde, do Plano Municipal de Saúde e dos mecanismos de avaliação do Sistema Municipal de Saúde.

A Ouvidoria do Sistema Local de Saúde é unidade da Administração Municipal vinculada à Secretaria responsável pelo aprimoramento dos serviços prestados à comunidade na área da saúde, ao atuar como canal de comunicação entre o usuário do Sistema Único de Saúde e a Secretaria, valorizando a participação popular no processo de gestão.
